Time for Foss.in
Today I’m very excited to travel back to Bangalore. Time for Foss.in from tomorrow onwards. This time few interesting topics by extraordinary persons. So lemme check how it goes.
As of now I’m not sure how many folks are coming from Wipro. am the one from Wipro Hyderabad travelling for FOSS Conference.
Travelling in one of my favorite trains GARIBH Rath (being a Garibh, I have to choose this) :-). I am gonna spend this weekend with my Bangalore buddies.
I’ll update more once I reach there.

samba conf
After a long gap I got a requirement to configure samba on Linux Machine.
Here is the generic and very easy to use configuration file.
[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/samba/smb.conf
# smb.conf is the main Samba configuration file.
[global]
workgroup = TUX-NET
printing = cups
printcap name = cups
printcap cache time = 750
cups options = raw
map to guest = Bad User
include = /etc/samba/dhcp.conf
logon path = \\%L\profiles\.msprofile
logon home = \\%L\%U\.9xprofile
logon drive = P:
[homes]
comment = Home Directories
valid users = %S, %D%w%S
browseable = No
read only = No
inherit acls = Yes
[profiles]
comment = Network Profiles Service
path = %H
read only = No
store dos attributes = Yes
create mask = 0600
directory mask = 0700
[users]
comment = All users
path = /home
read only = No
inherit acls = Yes
veto files = /aquota.user/groups/shares/
[groups]
comment = All groups
path = /home/groups
read only = No
inherit acls = Yes
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/tmp
printable = Yes
create mask = 0600
browseable = No
[print$]
comment = Printer Drivers
path = /var/lib/samba/drivers
write list = @ntadmin root
force group = ntadmin
create mask = 0664
directory mask = 0775
[root@localhost ~]#
create a user
[root@localhost ~]# useradd naresh
set the password for the user
[root@localhost ~]# /usr/bin/smbpasswd -a naresh
New SMB password:
Retype new SMB password:
Added user naresh.
[root@localhost ~]#
Now the user is added to samba and password is set.
Start the samba service.
[root@localhost ~]# /etc/init.d/smb start
Starting SMB services:
Starting NMB services:
make sure that Samba service is running as daemon process.
[root@localhost ~]# ps ax | grep mbd
2289 ? Ss 0:05 nmbd -D
4505 ? Ss 0:00 smbd -D
Now you can access Linux file system from windows by doing
start->run
\\10.10.10.10
Enter the user name and password and access your Linux file system as windows file system. Every user can access this own home directory. Of,course root can access all the file system.
you may map remote directory in to local drive. follow the steps
Mycomputer-> Tools->MapNetworkDrive->
Driver: Z:
folder:\\10.10.10.10\naresh
If you find any issues let me know.

Awesome Climate@HYD
very chilled,
Today is very cold weather in Hyderabad and Drizzling in the evening at my office Gachibowli.
Finally I have discovered that winter is in :-) hehehehe.
I was reminding my winter days at Bangalore. Basically, Bangalore is breezy city, imaging what would be the situation in winter. I was wearing jacket every day and going to office on my bike with full speed, having “gharam chai” at office with Teammates in that chilled atmosphere. Coming back to room in late night with shivering it was superb timing. Never comes back those days.
In this romantic weather, spending time with loved one is the real meaning of awesome.

Best Meeting
October 18, most memorable day in my life.
I met a person, her thoughts are brilliant, words are lovely and voice is so sweet.
Still can’t believe that, I am gonna be with her every day in my life.
Feeling lucky :-)

Dasara@sircilla
Time for Dasara again!
Dasara festival is always a special one at Sircilla.
The way of celebrations is bit different from other towns. Huge people gathering and wishing each other on this day is really awesome. The most important thing is that one can see at least 1000 young guys dancing and sharing the joy of fest in the middle of town. I can say this is the best gathering in one year for everybody from Sircilla to meet his old buddies.
Of course, folks from Telangana know about the procedure and events of the Dasara Day. Here I have captured few photographs:
Aayuda pooja at Aghraharam in the early moring
Ravana Kasta on riverbank of maaneru vaagu
Swami vaari pallaki towards Ravana
Firing Ravana is the symbol of killing evil in every mind.
Gathering at ravana kasta
Swami vari Darshanam after ravana samharam
Jammi chettu(tree): most precious God’s tree, we take this leaf(we call it as bangaram) and share with our parents/elders/younger’s/friends and give and take wishes from each other.
Time for open Disco
See you guys on next Dasara with extra energy :-)

Mookambika Devi Temple
Our Journey started from Murudeshwar to Kollur via Batkal. We were travelling on NH 206, but it was badly damaged by rain. At the same time we could enjoy the view of sea from Highway.
After Taking left turn from Highway, the road was nice and our journey become pleasant. Road was fully covered with long trees, so many small streams and very few rice fields. On top of it we could see the beauty of Western Ghats covering by clouds. Obvious, my camera made a click
Mookabika Temple is in middle of the forest and the Souparnika River is passing less than 50 meters distance. That was temple closing time at afternoon 1:30 to 3 o’clock.
We got one and half hours to explore the holy and beautiful place. Found a really wonderful place that is the place where we can get down in to Souparnika River. Suddenly somebody in water biting my feet’s, Ooh, sharp teeth fish in the water. I tried to catch and want to have it in my hand :-D. But I could not successes :-(.
However, reached temple in closing time, was helped us to finding this wonderful place. “Everything was happed for our best” We completed our Dharsham.
That was end of west coastal Karnataka Trip. I was able to catch Kesineni bus back to Hyd. I must say thanks for Kesineni Travels for my pickup and drop from all the long way of 750 km from Hyderabad to Batkal. It was wonderful experience!!
